Highway Department

The highway department ensure that Glassboro’s streets, sidewalks, and highways are safe, clean and attractive. We maintain streets and provide snow and ice control. We also manage residential garbage collection and disposal as well as curbside recycling.  Our department provides core basic services essential to neighborhood quality-of-life.  We directed general construction, maintenance, and cleaning of approximately 120 lane miles of roadways throughout Glassboro.  We collect approximately 5900 tons of solid waste annually and our residential recycling program diverts more than 2000 tons annually.
