The Borough of Glassboro and the Board of Education Team Up to Build Eight New State-of-the-art Tennis Courts
During the month of October, the Glassboro High School Bulldogs tennis team will get eight new completely renovated tennis courts using state-of-the-art modular materials that provide safety, durability, and are designed to enhance the performance of athletes. The modular court surface is custom colored with GHS Bulldogs colors and has a 15-year warranty compared to traditional outdoor courts which need to be resurfaced every few years. The deteriorated asphalt foundation will be completely milled and re-leveled and there will be new fencing surrounding the courts.
“We are very excited to see these new tennis courts. It is a pleasure to work with the Board of Education to meet the recreational needs of students and residents. I’m excited to see the Bulldogs host their first home matches in a very long time.” Said Councilwoman Daniele Brida Spence. “Tennis courts are a part of the high school athletic program and are in high demand after hours by our community recreational players. Many of this year’s initiatives are aimed at promoting the health and wellness of our residents and tennis is a lifelong sport for its enthusiasts. We are thrilled to restore the tennis courts for our community.”
