The Borough of Glassboro Council Introduced Budget with

Zero Municipal Tax Increase

5th time in six years that Glassboro has held the municipal property tax rate flat.

GLASSBORO, NEW JERSEY --- The property tax rate for the Borough of Glassboro will remain unchanged according to the introduced 2024 budget presented to the Borough Council on Tuesday, March 26th. This will be the 5th time in six years that the Mayor and Council have been able to hold the municipal property tax rate flat.

Mayor John E. Wallace III explains, “As always, our priorities focus on putting the residents of the Borough of Glassboro at the heart of all we do. The budget Council adopted today reinforces the Borough’s commitment to our community by delivering high quality services and amenities with pride, excellence and reliability.”

Council President Anna Miller adds, “In addition to the continued commitment of improving infrastructure, the budget includes funding to hire additional personnel in the police and fire departments, new bathrooms at Elsmere Park, the completion of the new pickleball facility and updating the bathrooms at New Street Park.”

“The brough attributes their robust economic-development strategy that is attracting a diverse group of small businesses and corporate headquarters as a component enabling the zero increase in municipal property tax.” added Councilman Andrew Halter

“As the chairperson for the Finance Committee, I applaud the efforts of our administration and finance department for their diligence creating a budget that maintains our current tax rate,” said Councilmember Dan Brown “More importantly, we are very proud of the service level that our citizens receive day in and day out from our talented employees, and this budget is a continued commitment to that cause.”
