Downtown Glassboro to Transform into a Winter Wonderland

Glassboro, NJ - The Borough of Glassboro is thrilled to announce the transformation of Downtown Glassboro into a winter wonderland for the 10th Annual Boro in Lights celebration on Friday, December 6th from 6 to 9 p.m.

Throughout the night, attendees will experience a wide variety of holiday-themed activities including a holiday market, musical performances, and family-friendly activities for all ages.

 “Glassboro is proud to continue our highly anticipated Boro in Lights celebration,” said Mayor John E Wallace III. “Spreading holiday spirit and joy with our families and our friends is what this time of year is all about.”  

The celebrations will officially begin at 6:15 with Santa and Mrs. Claus lighting the Borough's 30-foot tree decorated with over 1,700 LED lights. In addition to the lighting ceremony, attendees will enjoy holiday performances, selfie stations throughout Downtown Glassboro, and special giveaways from partners.

 “Boro in Lights is a timeless tradition for our community, you can see it in the kid’s faces, especially when Santa Claus makes his grand entrance.” said, Council President Anna Miller. “It’s an important time of year when we can unite, celebrate, and express gratitude for all that we have.”

Attendees will have the unique opportunity to experience a live Nativity scene and interact with animals at a petting zoo sponsored by our partner, Missio Dei Church. Additionally, attendees can enjoy a carriage ride down Rowan Blvd, decorate cookies with Cookie Munchers, and admire a working model train display presented by the Glassboro Historical Society. This event provides a wonderful opportunity for residents of Southern New Jersey to come together and celebrate the joy and spirit of the holiday season.
