Light Up Glassboro!

The holiday season is a magical time, a perfect time to share joy with family, friends, and neighbors.  In an effort to further enhance our community’s holiday, spirit and enjoyment of the season, the Borough of Glassboro is proud to introduce our inaugural “Light Up Glassboro” holiday light decorating contest.

"As the holiday season approaches, we're thrilled to announce Light Up Glassboro, our inaugural holiday light decorating contest,” said Borough Mayor John E. Wallace III. “This heartwarming contest not only illuminates our neighborhoods but also highlights the spirit of togetherness and community pride."

The Borough of Glassboro will release a self-guided tour map on Tuesday, December 10th to help create an enchanting experience that will undoubtedly bring joy and inclusion to the residents of Glassboro.  Then on Thursday, December 19th, Mayor Wallace, along with council members, Chief Knight of the Police Department, and Chief Smith of the Fire Department, will collaborate to choose the top house in each of the four categories: “Most Creative”, “Traditional Holiday”, “Merry & Bright”, and “Best Porch, Patio, or Balcony”.  There will also be an overall award for “Mayor’s Choice”.

The winners of the contest will be announced on Facebook on Monday, December 23rd and will be officially recognized at an upcoming Council Meeting in January. To participate in the contest, residents are invited to visit www.glassboro.org and complete the registration form.
